- Interned under a C.P.A. while earning a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting in Kerrville, Texas from Schreiner College (now Schreiner University) in 1985.
- Worked for a high volume tax return preparation office in San Antonio during the tax season of 1986 under an Enrolled Agent while studying for a Master’s degree.
- Finished Master’s studies in December of 1986 while working for a small turn-key computer training facility. Received Masters in Professional Accounting in May 1987 from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a double major in Tax Accounting and Financial Accounting. Completed a 2-year curriculum in 3 semesters of night school while working more than full-time (60 hours per week).
- Established tax practice in 1987 and worked full-time until the practice was established.
- Worked as a Cost Accountant for a major scientific research and development corporation from 1989-1993 while trying to build client base.
- Left R&D corporation to become CFO of a small food manufacturing company in 1993.
- In 1994, I dedicated myself to full-time toward my tax practice.
- Became a Licensed Real Estate Agent in 1993, and in 1994 dedicated myself to this practice after tax season. Worked for a small real estate broker for one year. Moved to a large real estate franchise in 1995 while studying to get my Real Estate Broker’s license.
- Received my Real Estate Broker’s License in 1997 and sponsored offices with approximately 30 licensed real estate agents.
- The economy and housing industry crashed as well as my agent base. Expecting a booming economy in San Antonio in 2011, I will be actively practicing real estate and plan on growing to at least 10 agents.
